What Can You Recover?

Choose What You Need to Recover

The Rajasthan Single Sign-On (SSO) Portal provides multiple recovery options. Losing access to your SSO credentials can disrupt scholarships, recruitment, E-Mitra, and SIPF records all at once. The portal has you covered for both situations:

Your data is safe. Recovery only restores access to your existing account. All application histories, linked services, and saved documents remain completely intact.

Part 1 — How to Recover Your Forgotten SSO ID

There are two ways to retrieve your SSO ID — through the official portal, or via a quick SMS (no internet required).

Method 1 — Via SSO Portal (Recommended)
1

Visit the Official SSO Portal

Open your browser and go to sso.rajasthan.gov.in. Look for the link "I Forgot my Digital Identity (SSOID) — Click Here" below the login form.

2

Select Your Registration Category

Choose the category that matches how you originally registered:

👤 Citizen
  • Jan Aadhaar
  • Bhamashah
  • Aadhaar
🏭 Udhyog (Business)
  • Udyog Aadhaar
  • SAN (Organisation Aadhaar Number)
🏛️ Govt. Employee
  • Click the SIPF button
  • Enter SIPF Number & Password
3

Enter Your Identity Details

Provide the details requested for your chosen category (e.g., Aadhaar number, Jan Aadhaar card number, or social login). The system will verify your identity.

4

Receive Your SSO ID

Once verified, your SSO ID will be sent to your registered mobile number or email address. Note it down in a safe place.

Method 2 — Via SMS (Quickest — No Internet Needed)

This is the fastest way to retrieve your SSO ID, especially if you are away from a computer or have no internet access.

TypeRJ SSO
Send To9223166166
ResultYou will receive an instant reply with your registered SSO ID on your mobile number.
⚠️ Important: The SMS must be sent from the mobile number registered with your SSO account. SMS from an unregistered number will not return your ID.
🔐

Part 2 — How to Reset Your Forgotten Password

If you know your SSO ID but have forgotten your password, use one of the two methods below to reset it.

Method 1 — Via SSO Portal
1

Go to the Password Reset Page

Visit sso.rajasthan.gov.in and click "I Forgot my Password" below the login form.

2

Enter Your SSO ID and Email

Provide your SSO ID and the email address registered with your account to proceed.

3

Choose a Verification Method

Select one of the following to verify your identity and receive a password reset link:

  • Mobile Number: A reset link is sent via SMS to your registered number.
  • Email (Personal): A reset link is delivered to your registered inbox.
  • Aadhaar ID / VID: Uses your Aadhaar-linked mobile to send a verification link.
4

Click the Reset Link and Set a New Password

Open the link from your SMS or email. Create a new, strong password. The link typically expires within 30 minutes — act quickly.

5

Log In with Your New Password

Return to sso.rajasthan.gov.in and log in with your SSO ID and the new password you just created.

Method 2 — Via SMS

You can also trigger password recovery via SMS without needing to visit the website.

TypeRJ SSO PASSWORD
Send To9223166166
ResultYou will receive password recovery details or a reset confirmation via SMS on your registered number.
💡 Tip: If your reset link from the portal is not arriving, check your spam/junk folder. Also ensure no browser extension is blocking the redirect.
Offline Recovery

What If Your Registered Mobile or Email Is Lost?

This is one of the most common situations citizens face — your old SIM card has been deactivated, or you no longer have access to the email used during registration. In this case, online recovery is not possible and you will need to visit an official centre in person.

Step 1 — Visit an E-Mitra Centre or SSO Help Centre

Locate the nearest E-Mitra kiosk or official SSO Help Centre in your district. The operator is authorised to update your registered mobile number or email on your SSO profile.

Step 2 — Carry Valid Identity Proof

You will be required to present a valid government-issued ID. Accepted documents include:

Step 3 — Request Contact Detail Update

The E-Mitra operator will verify your identity against the SSO profile and update your mobile number or email. Once updated, you can use the standard online recovery methods described above.

⚠️ Note: Do not share your SSO ID or password with any third party or unofficial agent. Only approach authorised E-Mitra or government-operated SSO Help Centres. Recovery through official channels is always free of charge.
📞 SSO Helpdesk: Call 0141-5153222 or email sso@rajasthan.gov.in during government working hours (Monday to Friday, 10 AM – 6 PM).

Tips to Keep Your SSO Account Secure

Once you have recovered your SSO ID or reset your password, follow these best practices to avoid losing access again in the future:

🔐
Use a Strong Password

Combine uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. Avoid using your name, DOB, or "12345678".

📝
Write It Down Safely

Keep a physical note of your SSO ID in a secure location at home, not on your phone or browser.

📧
Keep Email Updated

Ensure the email linked to your SSO account is active and accessible for recovery.

📱
Keep Mobile Active

Your registered mobile is your primary recovery tool — don't let it expire or be deactivated.

🚫
Never Share Credentials

Do not share your SSO ID or password with anyone, including agents claiming to help you.

🔄
Change Password Periodically

Update your SSO password every 6–12 months to reduce the risk of unauthorised access.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a fee for recovering my SSO ID or password?
Absolutely not. Recovery of your SSO ID or password is a completely free service provided by the Rajasthan Government. Whether you use the website, the SMS method, or visit an E-Mitra centre, you will not be charged by the government. Beware of any third-party agent asking for payment.
What should I do if my registered mobile number or email is no longer working?
If you cannot access your registered recovery methods, you must visit the nearest E-Mitra centre or SSO Help Centre with a valid government ID (Aadhaar, Jan Aadhaar, Voter ID). An authorised operator can update your contact details so you can then recover your account online.
Can I have multiple SSO IDs linked to the same mobile number?
No. The SSO system allows only one SSO ID per mobile number. If you have accidentally created multiple IDs, it is recommended to merge them into a single account to avoid technical issues when applying for government services.
Will my old data be lost after I recover my SSO ID or reset my password?
No. Recovering your ID or resetting your password simply restores your access to your existing account. All previous application histories, linked services (Jan Aadhaar, scholarships, E-Mitra records), and saved documents remain completely intact.
I received my SSO ID via SMS but still cannot log in. What should I do?
First, ensure you are entering the SSO ID exactly as received (it may be case-sensitive). Then try resetting your password using Part 2 of this guide. If the issue persists, clear your browser cache or try a different browser. You can also contact the helpdesk at 0141-5153222.
How long does the password reset link stay valid?
Password reset links sent by the SSO portal are typically valid for 30 minutes from the time they are sent. If the link expires before you use it, return to the portal and request a new one.
Can I recover my SSO ID without an Aadhaar or Jan Aadhaar card?
Yes, if you registered via a social login (Google, Facebook) or business identity, you can use those same credentials to retrieve your SSO ID on the portal. If none of those options apply, the SMS method (RJ SSO to 9223166166) will work as long as you have access to your registered mobile number.
Is it safe to recover my SSO ID on a public computer or shared device?
It is not recommended. If you must use a public computer, ensure you log out of all sessions immediately after recovery, clear the browser history and cookies, and change your password again from a personal device as soon as possible.
